About

Buckeye Book Fair

Celebrating Ohio’s Stories. Supporting Literacy Across the State.
Since its founding in the 1980s, the Buckeye Book Fair has become a cornerstone of Ohio’s literary culture, one of the most anticipated and beloved book events in the state. What began as a local celebration of Ohio authors has grown into a nationally recognized festival that connects readers, writers, and illustrators through the power of storytelling.

Held annually on the first Saturday in November at the Greystone Event Center in Wooster, Ohio, the Buckeye Book Fair is more than a single day, it’s a movement to celebrate books, elevate authors, and promote lifelong literacy.

If you’d like to be featured, just fill out our short Author & Illustrator Spotlight form. It’s a quick Q&A that helps readers get to know the person behind the pages, your creative spark, your process, and what’s coming next. 📝 Here’s the form link. Whether you’ve joined us before or this is your first time, we’d be thrilled to share your story.
