As we begin planning for this year’s Buckeye Book Fair, I’m reaching out with a heartfelt invitation. Over the years, many of you have become more than just participants—you’ve become part of the Buckeye Book Fair family. This year marks my fifth season working on this beloved event, and it has been a true joy getting to know each of you and helping to celebrate your incredible work.

If you’d like to be part of the 2025 Buckeye Book Fair, I’d love to hear from you! As a reminder, participation is by invitation only, and we ask that all authors and illustrators submit their books and application letter for consideration. The selection process remains competitive due to limited space, and we want to be sure that your work is considered with the care and attention it deserves.

The new deadline this year is July 1st.

To apply, mail a copy of your new book (published after August 1, 2024) with a submission letter confirming your interest in participating:

Note: While the selection committee strongly prefers physical review copies, we understand that exceptions are sometimes necessary. We will consider digital copies on a case-by-case basis—please contact me directly if this applies to you.

This event is one of Ohio’s most beloved literary traditions, offering robust publicity and the chance to meet passionate readers, educators, and librarians. We continue to champion books by Ohio’s best voices. Your work is a vital part of that.
