For 39 years, Ohio’s authors and illustrators have been the heart of the Buckeye Book Fair. Together, we’ve introduced thousands of readers to new books, launched careers, inspired young writers, and built one of the nation’s longest-running celebrations of books and storytelling.

The official announcement for the 39th Annual Buckeye Book Fair has been released, and we’d love for every participating author and illustrator to help spread the word. Whether you have thousands of followers or a close-knit group of loyal readers, your voice makes a difference. Every share, every mention, every invitation helps introduce someone new to the joy of books and reminds readers why this event is unlike any other.

This year’s Fair promises to be one of our strongest yet, featuring more than 100 authors and illustrators, including New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors, award-winning creators, beloved children’s book makers, mystery writers, romance authors, historians, poets, graphic novelists, and so much more. Readers won’t find another day quite like it.

Imagine a first-time visitor walking through the doors because they saw your post. They discover a new favorite author. A child meets the illustrator who created the book they read every night. A reluctant reader finds the story that changes everything. Those moments happen because our literary community works together.

And while we’re celebrating our 39th year this November, we’re already looking ahead.

Next year marks the 40th Anniversary of the Buckeye Book Fair, an extraordinary milestone made possible by YOU, the authors and illustrators who have helped build this tradition over four decades. As we prepare for this celebration, we’ll be sharing stories from throughout our history and highlighting the remarkable creators who have been part of our journey.
